We Have 217 Pull-Up Banners That Don’t Belong to Us.
And that’s exactly where we want them.
They’re sitting in our Brisbane warehouse waiting for their owners to need them again.
It started with a pretty simple observation.
A client would order a pull-up banner for an event. They’d use it, pack it back into the bag and eventually the artwork would become outdated.
New campaign. New message. New branding.
So they’d order another banner.
The strange thing was that there was often absolutely nothing wrong with the original aluminium base.
We were throwing away a perfectly good product because the printed bit was out of date.
That didn’t make much sense to us.
So we started keeping them.
Welcome to our Banner Bank.
When a client no longer needs their banner, we can store the base in our warehouse.
When they need another one, instead of automatically supplying a completely new unit, we can remove the old graphic, print a new one and reuse the existing hardware.
It’s not particularly glamorous.
But perhaps that’s the point.
Sustainability doesn’t always require an enormous corporate strategy.
Sometimes it starts with someone looking at something headed for the bin and asking:
“Why are we throwing that away?”
Our Banner Bank went on to win the Australian Promotional Products Association’s National Award for Sustainability & Eco Friendly Initiatives.
But our favourite number is still 217.
Because they’re 217 things sitting in our warehouse waiting to be used again.
